Our Story

The Eye-Opening Moment

As a middle school student, I was completely unaware of a disheartening reality until one day my parents received an email from my science teacher. In less than 3 months of the new school year, more than 700 pencils had already been used that were supplied by my teacher.

A Systemic Problem

Despite being one of the highest-income counties (by median household income), our school teachers were using their own resources to keep up with the essential classroom supplies. It struck me as profoundly unjust that they were compelled to dip into their own pockets to stock classrooms with essential supplies. The financial strain on teachers was clearly visible, and I couldn’t stop thinking about this from then on.

The Birth of EduAde

Out of this observation was born an idea – a vision to support these dedicated teachers and take this additional burden away. The goal was simple yet transformative: create a system where teachers wouldn’t have to spend their own money and resources on supplies, alleviating the financial burden they carried.

How Does it Work?

EduAde.org is a mission-driven non-profit where teachers share their specific classroom needs and generous donors from our local community contribute by using the 'Donate' link to provide the required supplies. The goal isn’t merely about addressing a problem; it’s about creating a supportive community that values and uplifts the educators shaping young minds.

Aariv Gupta is the founder and lead volunteer of EduAde.org, a non-profit he launched during his sophomore year of high school. Driven by a strong passion for community impact, he is dedicated to addressing local educational needs and empowering teachers through this initiative.
